Discover SURO Elderflower, a wild elderflower liqueur crafted by Gabriel Boudier in Dijon since 1874. Hand-harvested just once a year at the peak of bloom, nearly a thousand flowers go into every bottle. Floral, delicately honeyed and exceptionally refined, SURO is perfect as a Spritz, in cocktails or over ice. Rated 97/100 by Wine Enthusiast.
A floral and airy opening, carried by the characteristic honeyed sweetness of wild elderflower. The palate is delicate and well-balanced, with a gentle vegetal freshness and a long, silky finish. A liqueur of rare elegance — both subtle and lingering.
SURO shines as a Spritz — ⅓ SURO, ⅔ Crémant de Bourgogne, a splash of sparkling water — for a floral and refreshing aperitif. It also expresses itself beautifully in signature cocktails, such as the SURO Margarita, where its floral delicacy elevates the boldness of tequila. Discover it also over ice, for a pure and contemplative tasting experience.
The very first elderflower liqueur was born in Dijon. In the early 2000s, Maison Gabriel Boudier took on a unique challenge: to capture and stabilise the fragile, fleeting aromatic profile of the wild elderflower blossom. From this pioneering expertise, SURO Elderflower was born — an exceptional French liqueur, awarded 97/100 by Wine Enthusiast.
Wild elderflowers are hand-harvested just once a year, at the precise peak of their bloom, then naturally dried. They are gently macerated for several weeks in an alcoholic solution, before being blended with a lemongrass and blackcurrant bud distillate. The whole is carefully balanced with French beet sugar to reveal the finest possible expression of the flower. Nearly a thousand blossoms go into the making of every single bottle.
